Customer Service Jobs
Customer Success & SupportCurrently tracking 86 open roles for this career path in Ireland.
Customer service and advisory roles represent a surprisingly diverse career path in Ireland, with 196 active positions ranging from retail floor interactions to senior healthcare consulting. Dublin accounts for roughly half the openings, but the geographic spread extends to Cork, Galway, Kildare, and Meath.
The retail sector dominates volume. B&Q has an extraordinary 60 open positions — by far the largest single employer in this space — hiring Customer Advisors across its Irish and UK stores. The roles span general customer advisory, TradePoint (the company's trade-customer counter service), and Checkouts. TradePoint roles are particularly interesting: you'll build relationships with trade members, understand their businesses through conversation, and recommend products and services to meet their professional needs. Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 7am–8pm, with both part-time and full-time contracts available.
Banking offers a strong customer service career track. Permanent TSB, one of Ireland's leading retail and SME banks, recruits Customer Experience Champions for branches including Eyre Square — a role focused on delivering business objectives through what the bank calls its "Collaborative Customer Conversations" programme and Omni-Channel approach. AIB adds further demand with customer-facing roles across its branch network. Estée Lauder Companies brings a premium retail dimension, hiring Beauty Advisors at locations including MAC at Arnotts in Dublin — consultative selling roles that blend product expertise with customer experience in a luxury setting.
The professional services sector reshapes what "customer service" can mean at the senior end. PwC at One Spencer Dock recruits Health Transformation Directors for its consulting healthcare team — advising senior healthcare leaders on strategic decisions, regulatory change, and digital transformation across Ireland's health system. Grant Thornton hires advisory managers for specialist sectors including aviation. These roles demonstrate that customer and client advisory work extends far beyond the retail counter.
What skills are needed? At the frontline level, employers look for strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work across shift patterns. Uniphar, an Irish healthcare and pharmaceutical distribution company, hires customer service roles that require product knowledge in medical and pharma supply chains. For banking roles, familiarity with financial products, regulatory compliance, and digital banking platforms is increasingly important. The career progression runs from Customer Advisor and Customer Service Agent through to Collections Advisor, Sales & Service Advisor, and ultimately into management — with professional services offering an alternative track where advisory skills scale into director-level consulting.
