Oracle/SQL Server Database Administrator

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Oracle and/or SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our database environments. Experience in both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server is preferable but not essential. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of enterprise database systems while supporting business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities Database Administration Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases Perform database provisioning, patching, and version upgrades Manage database storage, capacity planning, and growth forecasting Performance & Availability Monitor database performance and proactively identify bottlenecks Tune SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations Ensure high availability using clustering, replication, Always On, RAC, Data Guard, etc. Implement and test disaster recovery and failover strategies Backup, Recovery & Security Design and maintain backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, native SQL Server tools) Perform database restores and recovery testing Implement database security, encryption, and access controls Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards Support & Operations Provide 2nd/3rd line support for database-related incidents and problems Work closely with application teams, developers, and infrastructure teams Document database procedures, standards, and configurations
