About Our Team:

As an Entry-Level IT Support Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for technical assistance at Activ8 Solar Energies. This role is designed for someone at the start of their IT career who is eager to dive into a fast-paced environment. You’ll be responsible for keeping our team connected and productive, acting as an essential member of our internal helpdesk while building a professional foundation in IT infrastructure.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact on our IT helpdesk, troubleshooting hardware and software issues for internal users with speed and a helpful attitude.
• Take ownership of service desk tickets, ensuring every request is tracked, managed, and resolved effectively.
• Assist in the daily maintenance of our core systems including Microsoft 365, Azure, Citrix, and VMware to ensure peak performance across the board.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to identify tech hurdles and learn how to implement long-term solutions.
• Support the rollout of new IT projects, giving you direct insight into how a growing company scales its infrastructure.
• Actively participate in training and upskilling, with a specific focus on mastering hybrid cloud technologies as you grow into the role.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

• A solid grasp of IT fundamentals and a genuine "hunger" to understand how enterprise systems work.
• While experience with Azure, Citrix, or VMware is a plus, we value your willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies above all else.
• The ability to think on your feet and stay calm when technical challenges arise in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical fixes to non-technical colleagues with professional ease.
