The Opportunity

As an OSS Site Operative will support retrofit teams delivering full home energy upgrades under the One Stop Shop division. This role involves working inside occupied homes and includes preparation works, attic readiness, minor finishing works, and ensuring properties are left clean and presentable to a high standard.

This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, respect for customers’ homes, and strong housekeeping standards.

Responsibilities Include

• Prepare homes for retrofit works.
• Assist with insulation, ventilation and general energy upgrade works.
• Carry out minor painting and plaster touch-ups following installation works.
• Ensure site is prepared prior to works , including protection of property.
• Assist and direct trades to adhere to activ8s’ environmental policies.
• Complete thorough clean-up of properties at project completion.
• Support tradespeople on-site as required.
• Support the Project manager , along with assisting with QEHS.
• Follow all Health & Safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in construction, renovation, retrofit, or general property maintenance
• Experience working within residential properties
• Competent in basic painting, making good, and general finishing works
• Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification essential.
• Strong understanding and adherence to Health & Safety practices
• Full clean driving license (preferred)
• Comfortable working in attics and confined spaces
• Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
• High attention to detail with pride in quality workmanship and the ability to inspect other trades completed works .
• Professional, respectful, and courteous when working in customers’ homes
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Numerical literacy, some surveying of measures and ordering of materials required .
