What is the role?
The Systems Engineer will lead multi-disciplinary project teams delivering manufacturing engineering, engineering systems, & digitalisation projects related to MES, ERP and other systems in manufacturing.  Close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Engineering and Supply Chain, will be vital to deliver projects successfully

What are the key responsibilities? 
Lead digital manufacturing technology projects related to MES, ERP and other systems in manufacturing.
Lead and contribute to cross-functional digital transformation projects. 
Oversee project planning, risk management, timeline updates, and communication of progress to stakeholders and management. 
Research, identify and implement digital solutions to enhance manufacturing processes. 
Utilise digital technologies and a system-oriented approach to drive process improvement, project prioritisation, and effective change management across internal systems. 
Collaborate with controls engineering and process/production engineering to deliver digital solutions supporting new process introduction and continuous improvement activities.
Lead assessments of vendor proposals to determine suitability for internal digital system requirements, leading to the successful selection of vendors and software solutions.  
Collaborate with IT and Digital Transformation teams to determine database and data management strategies.
Coordinate the generation and update of governing procedures. 
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a digital manufacturing technology roadmap for digitalisation opportunities within engineering and operations. 
Act as a subject matter expert on engineering systems & digitalisation input into projects where required. 
Perform other tasks as directed by the Manager. 

What education and experience are required?
Level 7 Degree/Diploma qualification in a relevant Engineering or Technology program and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience or 
Level 8 Degree qualification in a relevant Engineering or Technology program with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
Experience developing MES solutions.
Experience developing process monitoring digital solutions (yield, OEE).
Experience interfacing with ERP systems 
Experience leading projects
Track record in project management requiring cross-functional collaboration

What key skills will make you great at the role? 
Ability to develop no-code low-code MES solutions. Experience with Tulip platform is an advantage.
Project management
Very good MS office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Very good understanding of database types/structure, connectivity protocols and manufacturing systems.
