Job Description
- Collect mails and parcels from designated post boxes, post offices and customers.
- Sort and process incoming mail and parcels, ensuring all items are accurately assigned to the correct locations.
- Deliver mail, parcels, and packages to designated addresses, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional delivery.
- Follow designated delivery routes, maintaining safe, efficient, and consistent delivery practices.
- Protect and safeguard all mail and parcels during processing, transport, and delivery, preventing loss, damage, or tampering.
- Operate delivery vehicles Safely and responsibly, while consistently complying with all health and safety standards.
- Use handheld tracking devices to record collections, deliveries, capture proof of delivery, and maintain accurate operational records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth and efficient mail operations and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Maintain confidentiality and trust, ensuring all customer mail is handled with respect, discretion, and professionalism.
- Ensure full compliance with An Post operational policies, data protection requirements, and all relevant regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate An Post behaviours at all times; include everyone, show respect, work together to wow our customers, and seek out opportunities to improve how we work.

Qualifications
- Physically fit and able to handle parcels of varying weights.
- Valid EU Manual driving license required
- Basic English skills sufficient to read and follow written procedures, understand instructions, and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
- Self-motivated – can work independently
- Previous experience in a postal or delivery role is desirable but not essential.
- Available for 20 hours per week as per contract on offer.
- Available to work 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm-8pm
