ADI is looking for a staff level mechanical engineer to support our Facilities team at our semiconductor manufacturing site in Limerick, IE. Successful candidate will provide mechanical engineering expertise to operations and maintenance team as well as design and project oversight for a multitude of facilities projects for HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, process cooling water, ultrapure water (UPW), wastewater treatment, acid fume scrubbers, VOC abatement, process gases, compressed dry air (CDA), corrosive chemical delivery systems, etc.

Job Description:
Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical guidance for operating, maintaining and repairing all facilities mechanical systems
- Evaluate site mechanical systems and develop a roadmap by incorporating failure analysis, redundancy, and elimination of single points of failure of mechanical systems to support 24/7 mission critical operations
- Review existing mechanical systems and recommend improvement to conserve natural resources.
- Work with various entities to receive conservation rebates for energy, water, etc.
- Collaborate with ADI facilities team members across the world to share best practices to enhance sustainability
- Develop project outline to modify building to meet requirements
- Prepare detailed mechanical designs and scopes-of-work for a wide variety of projects ranging from improvements in office buildings to fab construction (Class 1 or better)
- Prepare plans, schedules and cost estimates
- Prepare purchase requisitions, ROI calculations, and executive summaries
- Submit proposals
- Coordinate contractors
- Prepare snag lists and ensure contractors complete all work on schedule
- Prepare Planning permit applications and reports as required for compliance with all applicable laws
- Maintain mechanical and process system drawings and documents to match as-built conditions
- Ownership of all changes/events/incidents/problems from beginning to end as well as overseeing the completion of root cause analysis and follow up resolution actions.
- Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of the site Mechanical infrastructure are planned and executed to the best interest of the business.
- Ensure standardization and consistency with best in class operating procedures.
- Respond to Site Emergencies.
- Work with various governmental agencies to receive grants for energy efficient plant.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in facilities mechanical engineering
- 10-15 years of field or design experience required
- Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in ACAD, Pipe Flow, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Must have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Must be quality and safety oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and “hands-on”.
- Must be safety and quality orientated.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- 0-5% Travel
