Spearhead IFRS 16 accounting across APAC, GC, EMEIA, and ALAC, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. Drive transformative change through process automation, system optimisation, and strategic project execution. Establish and maintain a robust governance framework, proactively managing risk and audit processes. Collaborate effectively with business partners, including R2R accountants, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of IFRS 16 processes.
- Lead and Develop: Empower the IFRS 16 team, guiding them towards a culture of innovation and peak efficiency.
- Optimise Performance: Define, track, and analyse KPIs to maximise the effectiveness of IFRS 16 processes.
- Conduct Effective Reviews: Implement regular and thorough reviews of IFRS 16 processes and calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Drive Project Success: Spearhead cross-functional projects, ensuring seamless implementation of IFRS 16 requirements and integration with Apple's systems.
- Enhance System Capabilities: Oversee the lease accounting system, ensuring accuracy and driving automation initiatives to boost efficiency.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Interpret and apply complex IFRS 16 guidance, proactively addressing emerging requirements and mitigating risk, including the accurate calculation of bridge adjustments to IFRS 16.
- Govern and Automate: Champion process automation, strengthening governance and improving data accuracy across all IFRS 16 functions.
- Manage Audit Relationships: Serve as the primary point of contact with external auditors, proactively addressing queries and maintaining robust internal controls.
- Deliver Accurate Disclosures: Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of IFRS 16 disclosures, meeting all reporting requirements.
- Excellent SAP knowledge or equivalent ERP experience
- Demonstrated multi-national experience
- Accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA, etc
- 2-3+ years of experience in financial reporting
- Possesses a strong foundation in accounting principles, with expertise in ASC 842, ASC 840, IFRS 16, and Local GAAP (desirable).
- Demonstrates experience navigating multi-country or multi-currency environments.
- Proficient in data visualisation and reporting tools such as Tableau or Dataiku (desirable).
- Has hands-on experience with lease accounting systems (desirable).
- Exhibits exceptional problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic situations.
- Is action-oriented, proactive, and demonstrates a results-driven approach.
- Effectively manages conflicts and fosters collaborative solutions.
- Remains resilient under pressure and consistently meets deadlines.
