The Apple Services Engineering (ASE) Privacy Engineering team’s goal is to help Apple achieve its commitment to privacy as a fundamental human right. Working across Apple, we support feature development, develop new privacy techniques, and are continuously looking for ways to streamline processes so that Apple can continue to surprise and delight, whilst ensuring our customers' privacy.
To further this goal, we have established a new team in our new and growing Dublin office that will drive development of internal user experiences across our services and systems. Working with partners in Dublin, London as well as our US locations, this team is responsible for the design and implementation of a unified platform providing access to critical systems used to deliver on our privacy promise.

The Privacy User Experience team is seeking an experienced Senior Frontend-focused Full-Stack Software Engineer to help us build and maintain world-class privacy features that empower our engineers to deliver privacy-oriented innovations to our customers. Ideal expertise includes frontend technologies like React and Typescript, and backend technologies such as Java, Node.js and SQL, along with experience in AI development, cloud platforms and CICD. You will architect, develop and ship features with your cross-functional product and UX partners, as well as your fellow software engineers. You will also be expected to participate in the feature design process with our lean and talented team, drive new functionality, contribute to architectural and performance improvements, and bring your best every day to our team.
- A passion for, and track record of, delivering best-in-class user experiences.
- Strong proficiency in modern web technologies (React, HTML, CSS, TypeScript).
- Proficiency in backend programming and at least one high-level language such as Java, Golang, C++, Python, or Node.js.
- At least 7 years proven experience on both ends of the stack, building responsive web applications, robust APIs and backend services.
- Previous experience with user privacy and regulations such as GDPR and DMA.
- Experience in Data and Platforms, familiarity with batch and streaming technologies for data processing.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and a curiosity about applying AI to improve efficiency and tackle new challenges.
- Experience in working with teams across geographic and timezone boundaries.
- Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to express technical ideas, teach and mentor engineers around you, and communicate well with non-technical team members.
