Apple Operations Ltd. is looking for a dynamic Strategic Procurement Manager to lead two teams focused on driving cost optimisation, strengthening supplier performance, and ensuring supply continuity across our EMEIA supplier network. This role will deliver strategic impact by building strong supplier partnerships, improving cost competitiveness, and ensuring a reliable, high-performing supply base that supports our business objectives.
The teams:
- CapEx GSSM Team oversees a number of key equipment suppliers in the EMEIA region, including AXI, Automation & Test.
- Component GSSM Team oversees a number of key component suppliers in the region, including Sensing Silicon, Audio, and Packaging.
In this role, you will lead teams that manage supply strategy and execution across Apple’s global supply chain. Partnering across functions and with strategic suppliers, you will secure capacity, mitigate risk, and drive key decisions that support Apple’s ability to build and deliver products at global scale.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals to deliver outstanding results at a fast pace.
- Perform all leadership activities, including recruitment, performance review evaluations, professional development, and career goals.
- Work with key partners regionally and globally to ensure successful operations to a high standard, with a strong focus on quality and data integrity.
- Maintain a level of constant and effective communication with managers, leaders, and subject matter experts in a variety of business, functional, and technology areas.
- Supply Chain Management: Identify, develop, and manage a strong regional supplier base to support business objectives, while maintaining selective global sources where needed. Execute supply chain strategies by selecting and developing suppliers that meet requirements for cost, quality, innovation, and reliability, while managing performance and transitioning away from underperforming vendors.
- Cost Management: Drive cost efficiency across materials, parts, and equipment through strategic sourcing, negotiation, and collaboration with regional suppliers, balancing cost optimisation with technical requirements, quality standards, and product design needs.
- Availability & Continuity of Supply: Ensure timely availability of materials, components, and equipment to support production and operational demand. Proactively manage supply risks, capacity planning, and supplier readiness to maintain uninterrupted operations.
- Program Management: Manage resources and tasks to achieve programme objectives.
- 3rd level education.
- 5+ years Procurement and Supply Chain Expertise.
- Proven experience in supplier sourcing and selection, contract negotiation, cost modelling, and supply chain optimisation.
- Experience in Supply Chain or Project/Program management in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Significant and proven experience leading teams in a dynamic and fast-moving Operating and Supply Chain environment.
- Demonstrated Leadership and/or Individual team role skills in driving Key projects & teams.
- Flexibility to travel on a regular basis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law, and/or Master’s level is an advantage.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyse industry dynamics and commodity markets and forecast supply chain risks and opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have exceptional ability to maintain and develop cross-functional relationships within Apple (Engineering, Finance, Operations & Product teams) as well as suppliers’ teams and management.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Knowledge of and experience with global supplier development & management, cost management, quality management.
- Advanced negotiation and contracting skills. Experience leading complex commercial and legal contract negotiations.
- Strong analytical capability - ability to present complex supply chain insights to executive leadership.
- Ability to make quick decisions in a challenging, high-pressure environment.
- Proven track record of meeting challenging organisational objectives.
