Role description:
We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor, or a Surveyor working towards Chartership, who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will join a growing Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Building Surveying team supporting leading clients on some of the most high-profile property transactions across Ireland, with opportunities to work on UK and European assignments.
You’ll work across a diverse portfolio of commercial assets, delivering a mix of Technical Due Diligence, building surveying, and project-led advisory services supporting lender and investor clients by providing clear, trusted advice that directly influences investment decisions. This is an opportunity to step into a visible, client-facing role with real responsibility, strong progression potential, and exposure to complex, varied work.
Role accountabilities
- Deliver Technical Due Diligence (TDD) advice and reporting across a range of asset types, clearly identifying, quantifying and prioritising asset risks, with commercially focused recommendations to support informed investment decisions.
- In addition to TDD, undertake professional technical consultancy services including, asset condition surveys and dilapidations.
- Preparation and submission of planning applications, Fire Safety Certificates and Disability Access Certificates to local authorities, in full compliance with Irish building regulations.
- Manage and coordinate project procurement and delivery, including preparation of tender documents (schedules of work, detailed drawings, and specifications), tender analysis and contractor appointments; and maintain oversight of works to drive quality.
- Act as Assigned Certifier under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations (BC(A)R), overseeing compliance and certification throughout the construction process.
- Take accountability for delivering a high-quality client experience, ensuring outputs are clear, timely, and aligned with client expectations.
- Ensure clear and effective communication across project teams, providing accurate and timely information to support successful project delivery with efficient financial control.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Building Surveying and RICS qualified (or well progressed on your APC journey).
- Excellent technical ability.
- Multi-discipline experience.
- A broad thinker who can take a global view and has an inherent ability to deliver successfully.
- Ability to manage project risk.
- Ability to be flexible to meet tight project deadlines.
- Manage quality standards to ensure high quality outputs.
- Understanding of technical and legislative requirements, with a good commercial awareness.
- Strong client relationship management with a focus on building trusted advisor
- Experience with AutoCAD.
