We’re looking for a detail-oriented, curious, and analytical leader to help us achieve our operational and financial goals while embodying our company values. You will join a world-class Finance team, and will be involved in all general areas of accounting and assisting in multiple ad hoc projects - audit, month-end close, ensuring accuracy with multiple finance system integrations, as well as other fun accounting challenges! 

Reporting to the International Accounting Manager, this position will be responsible for the monthly US GAAP close process and timeline management of Asana’s International Entities. In addition to this there will be various other ad hoc accounting items. The position will have ownership over multiple Asana entities and also be involved in some statutory financial statement preparation and review and audit ownership. 

This role is based in our Dublin office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve:

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly close processes for international subsidiaries and review monthly reporting packages and reconciliations prepared by outsourced providers
  • Present monthly to finance organization on financial fluctuations of international subsidiaries
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, People Ops, Facilities, and IT on statutory audits
  • Preparation of local Statutory Financial Statements
  • Work together with local financial service providers to review externally prepared financial statements and reconcile to US GAAP ledgers
  • Manage audits for international subsidiaries
  • Help with payroll accounting entries and reconciliations for international entities
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of individuals from across the organization on projects to drive overall enhancements to the financial statement process and other ad hoc projects
  • Performs other duties as needed.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance and Professional Accounting Qualification ACA/ACCA
  • Minimum of 3+ years p.q.e of progressive accounting/finance experience including US GAAP month end process and local statutory financial reporting
  • Experience with statutory reporting within the EMEA & APAC regions and managing audits, multinational environment is preferred
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with payroll accounting
  • Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to define and implement internal controls or best practices
  • Proficient with Excel and experience with Netsuite (or other ERP system) and Floqast, Numeric & Workiva is a plus.
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between €78,000 -  €89,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
