The successful candidate will be responsible for the complex and key role of placing of students with various host schools appropriate to their individual learning needs. It requires comprehensive information about students, their programmes of learning and host offerings. The successful candidate will review, implement and monitor the process effectively and efficiently for all stakeholders. The ideal candidate requires significant organisation, leadership and management skills.
The Coordinator acts as liaison between ATU and placement sites to interpret and match the needs of students to hosts in order that professional practice requirements and learning experiences are met. The Coordinator is responsible for securing placements, facilitating liaison, communication and agreement requirements. They will also be responsible for problem solving and maintaining positive working relationships with a variety of contacts and hosts both internally and externally with ATU.
The Coordinator’s role is to ensure students have access to appropriate experience in order to fill the needs of their professional practice requirements. These include but are not limited to: 1. Sourcing student placements. 2. Academic approval of the host. 3. Preparing agreements with hosts. 4. Working with Students to ensure placements appropriate. 5. Administration 6. Coordination of supervision arrangements. 7. Maintaining host engagement.
