This isn’t a typical design role. It’s an opportunity to shape how our engineering is delivered worldwide, define the standards others follow, and play a key part in driving the next generation of solutions for mission‑critical and hyperscale clients.
What’s in it for you?
A platform to shape global engineering standards
You won’t just contribute — you’ll define how our global teams design, test fit, innovate, and deliver. Your thinking will directly influence project outcomes across continents.
Genuine investment in your growth
From technical leadership pathways to cross regional exposure, you’ll have the freedom and support to expand your skill set, specialise, and grow into the expert you want to become.
Cross-discipline collaboration
You’ll work closely with R&D, regional technical leads, designers, innovators, and senior stakeholders — becoming part of a high performing, supportive, and ambitious engineering network.
A chance to work on industry shaping innovation
From hyperscale test fits to new design methods, BIM enhancements, and technical decision gateways — you’ll be hands on with projects and processes that move our industry forward.
The ability to solve complex problems that matter
f you enjoy challenges, undefined spaces, and opportunities to create clarity and consistency, this role puts you at the centre of transformation.
Purpose, clarity, and impact
Everything you do directly improves quality, efficiency, and client confidence worldwide. You’ll see the impact of your work, and so will everyone else.
Because of the strategic impact of the Global Engineering Team it is essential that you have extensive experience of data centre design projects. If you have other mission critical or building services design experience then you may be more suited to our core design engineering teams.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Deep understanding of data centre design topology and Mechanical MEP systems.
- Degree or diploma in engineering (BSc/BEng or HND/HNC).
- Chartered / Registered Engineer status.
- Experience with design software (AutoCAD, NES, Cymap).
- Proven leadership in technical or project roles.
- Strong grasp of legal/regulatory codes and standards.
You will be joining a community that focuses on learning and development through regular knowledge sharing sessions, investment in accredited professional courses or educational programmes. You can set the pace for your professional development, and whatever path you choose, you will receive relevant support.
