We currently have a vacancy for a Sustainability Analyst. Reporting to the Sustainability Reporting Manager, you will support the Group’s Sustainability and ESG reporting requirements. This role will involve engaging with a broad range of stakeholders including, but not limited to, senior leadership, employees, external agencies and consultants, industry peers and our shareholders.

 This role will provide a great opportunity for promoting, championing and reporting on Cairn’s sustainability practices.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

*        Support the Sustainability Reporting Manager with annual sustainability reporting requirements across Environmental and Social pillars including but not limited to; Carbon, Biodiversity, Waste, Workforce initiatives including Health & Safety, Wellbeing and ED&I, Supply Chain initiatives and engagement, and Social Impact.

*        Engage with functions across the business to gather qualitative and quantitative data for annual reporting.

*        Engage with internal and external stakeholders to improve sustainability data collection and reporting processes

*        Work closely with external auditors and assist with the annual non-financial data assurance process.

*        Partner with the broader functional teams to assist in the development and maintenance of sustainability policies and procedures as required.

*        Support and contribute to external reporting commitments such as the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and liaise as required with external consultants. 

*        Support the implementation of Cairn’s Sustainability Strategy and related initiatives.  

*        Analyse sustainability performance trends and identify opportunities to improve sustainability practices across the business. 

*        Support the continued education of employees on sustainability related topics, deliver new employee/Graduate/TY orientations and contribute to developing core sustainability awareness messages.

  • Be an ambassador for Cairn and attend various external conferences and events.

Desired Experience & Competencies: 

*        A key member of the Sustainability team, the ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability in its broadest form, and experience in a relevant area such as sustainability, environmental management/reporting, data analytics, ESG reporting, or similar.

*        Experience in the Construction sector an advantage.

*        A working knowledge of Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse gas emissions and related foot printing.

  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and communicate insights clearly. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholder groups.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
