Hospitality Assistant

We are now looking for full time Hospitality Assistants, for our Trim Nursing home. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive environment whilst working with an experienced team of Healthcare Professionals in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Kitchen:

• Ensure kitchen areas are clean.
• Adherence to safe storage.
• Checking and recording incoming goods to verify quality and quantity.
• Compliance with HACCP guidelines.
• Rotate where necessary to meet the catering demands of the role as directed.

Housekeeping:

• Daily cleaning of allocated units and general areas within the nursing home.
• Assist with keeping the dining area organized, clean and tidy.
• Collection and correct disposal of domestic and clinical waste.
• Rotate where necessary to meet the housekeeping demands of the role as directed.

Hoisting :

• Prepare the dining rooms for all meals to the high company standards.
• Prepare beverage trolleys and trays, make and serve beverages to residents and visitors.
• At the end of each meal in the dining rooms clear and re-set tables promptly for the next meal and ensure that the dining room is left clean, tidy and attractively presented.
• At the end of the shift, put away all supplies and ensure that stock and materials are secure at all times.
• Obtain menus from chef and assist the residents in making their choice for meals.
• Ensure that statutory and company requirements in terms of Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP are upheld at all times.
