Electrician – Role Overview

The Electrician is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality electrical installations across data centre, pharmaceutical, and heavy industrial projects in line with approved drawings, specifications, benchmarks, and First-of-Kind (FOK) standards.

The role requires a fully qualified electrician with experience in containment, cabling, terminations, testing, and commissioning support, capable of working independently while contributing to project delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Installation

• Carry out installations in line with drawings, specifications, and company quality standards
• Install containment, cabling, supports, equipment, and associated systems
• Complete terminations and support testing activities safely and accurately
• Ensure work is completed right first time to project requirements
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and professionalism

Technical Competency

• Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Carry out testing and termination works competently
• Identify and report installation or quality issues
• Support inspections, snagging, and commissioning activities
• Work in line with electrical standards and safe systems of work

Health & Safety

• Comply with all site safety procedures, permits, and risk assessments
• Use PPE, tools, and equipment correctly at all times
• Attend safety briefings and report hazards or unsafe conditions immediately
• Promote a positive safety culture on site

Productivity & Performance

• Achieve installation targets and productivity expectations
• Report material shortages, drawing issues, or access constraints
• Take ownership of quality, productivity, and performance
• Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic

Tools & Equipment

• Maintain and safeguard company tools and equipment
• Report lost, damaged, or defective equipment immediately

Teamwork & Behaviour

• Work collaboratively with site teams and management
• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Be flexible regarding rotational work and European travel requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Essential

• Fully qualified electrician with recognised certification/accreditation
• Proven experience within Data Centres, Pharmaceutical, or Heavy Industrial environments
• Experience in:
  • Electrical installations
  • Glanding & terminating
  • Testing and commissioning support
  • Reading technical drawings
  • Working to benchmarks and FOK installations
• Strong understanding of electrical standards and safe working practices
• Ability to work independently and within fast-paced teams
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professionalism
• Good communication skills and understanding of English
