As a core member of our Product Development team you will work with dedicated professionals to ensure our clients maintain access to their critical information assets while keeping Citco ahead of industry trends. 

About the Role: 

Citco Technology Management is looking for an IT Senior Developer to develop and maintain our Web applications. You will be part of the IT department that manages the core Reconciliation platform for the firm. You will be closely working with a talented bunch of product managers, architects and developers across the globe.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement by analysing system behaviour and identifying opportunities to enhance application stability and reliability.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain optimal application performance and deliver exceptional user experience.

  • Partner with vendor teams to evaluate, enhance and optimise the TLM Premium platform (developed by SmartStream).

  • Design, develop and maintain Oracle database objects including procedures, functions, views and packages.

  • Strong understanding of Oracle database architecture with the ability to provide performance and design insights.

  • Analyse database SQL queries in real time and implement optimisations to improve database performance.

  • Proactively monitor and refine AWS EC2 infrastructure to ensure peak application performance and system efficiency.

  • Stay up to date with technical enhancements, emerging tools and new functionality relevant to the role.

  • Continuously learn, evaluate and implement new technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.

  • Collaborate with business and product management teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.

  • Coordinate with the DevOps team to deploy application and infrastructure changes to higher environments.

  • Communicate effectively with peers, leads and cross-functional teams.

  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
     

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

  • Senior Developer with expertise across both back end and front-end systems.

  • Minimum of 7-8 years experience in developing web and backend applications using Java, JBoss or other Java-based Web Application servers.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience developing scripts using Python.

  • Strong understanding of SQL and PL/SQL with proven ability to optimise and enhance database performance.

  • Hands-on experience managing and optimising large-scale databases with high-volume tables and complex queries.

  • Working knowledge of SmartStream's TLM Premium is a huge plus.

  • AWS Cloud-based training and/or industry recognised cloud certification are highly desirable.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.

  • Well-rounded individual capable of performing several roles with the ability to work in a fast-paced, complex IT environment.

  • Personal qualities: Possess a strong work ethic, self-starter, creative, a focus on customer service, high level of energy and enthusiasm, excellent written and verbal communication and people skills, sense of urgency, team player, strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task, and commitment.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English.
