We offer bespoke managed service solutions, giving clients the option of having our expert team onsite at their facility or outsourcing services to CLS.
The Role
We are currently recruiting for a QC Team Lead (Micro/IPC) to join a regulated pharmaceutical environment. This is an onsite position responsible for leading microbiology quality control activities, ensuring compliance, and supporting team development.
Key Responsibilities
Implement methods and procedures for inspection, testing, and evaluation
Coordinate raw material, utilities, in-process, and API analytical testing
Plan and coordinate activities related to analytical method transfers
Implement and oversee analyst training programmes
Support qualification of analytical equipment and associated testing
Mentor, train, and supervise QC staff
Evaluate team performance and support development opportunities
Communicate departmental objectives and performance metrics
Act as technical support and reviewer for non-conformance and change control processes
Support audits and ensure inspection readiness
Manage and communicate laboratory performance metrics
Provide input into budget planning
Who You Are
A strong team leader with proven supervisory or team lead experience
Technically strong in microbiology with a solid understanding of analytical techniques and laboratory equipment
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and quality
A proactive communicator with the ability to support and develop team members
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Where You Come From
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a QC Microbiology role
At least 3 years’ experience within the pharmaceutical industry
1–2 years’ experience in a team lead or supervisory role
Experience working in an HPRA/FDA regulated environment is essential
Level 8 degree in Microbiology or a related discipline
