Temporary Part-Time post (0.5 wte) 35 hours per fortnight for 10 months

JOB SUMMARY
The person appointed to this post will work as part of inter and multi-disciplinary teams delivering a coordinated approach to the care of the people we support.
The professional reporting relationship for clinical governance and clinical supervision will be to the Speech and Language Therapist Manager through the professional line management structure.
The Therapist will ultimately be responsible to the Director of Services (Ms. U. Nagle)
The Therapist will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the people we support and the objectives of the organisation. The Speech and Language Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high quality Speech and Language Therapy service and will carry out clinical and educational duties as required.
The Therapist is required to have a Speech and Language Therapy qualification validated for working in the Republic of Ireland with the following:
- Suitable standard of professional attainments
- A minimum of three years full time experience
- Requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office
- Demonstrate a command of the English language so as to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
The Candidate:
- Statutory Registration, Professional Qualification, Experience etc.
- Candidates must
- Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
- Have 3 years full time (or an aggregate of 3 years full time) post qualification clinical experience.
- Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
- Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Speech & Language Therapist Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
- Have experience of working with Adults with Intellectual Disability and/or Autism
- Demonstrate a command of the English language so as to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
- Driving Licence: A full clean Driver’s licence which qualifies you to drive on Irish roads with means of transport is essential.
The person appointed must provide their own transport and will be paid travel expenses at the appropriate rates in respect of
travel carried out in the discharge of their work.
Salary Scale: €65,197 – €76,767 (PSPP 1/6/2026) Pro-rata if working part-time hours.
