What is the purpose of this job?
The Administrator will provide administrative support to the Group Protection Claims team who are the point of contact for a large, and growing, portfolio of Group Protection members.
The role holder will be a proficient administrator whose daily duties will include but not be limited to
scanning, logging, printing and posting daily communications inbound and outbound,
performing ad hoc administrative functions as required, and
responding to general client requests using pre-defined email and letter templates.
The contribution of the administrator has a direct effect on the Claims Team’s output and quality of service to Group Protection customers.
What this Job is expected to Do (Accountabilities)
In line with procedures, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Metrics
Process inbound post and emails i.e. collect, sort, log, scan and allocate to the relevant queue
Process outbound post – print, scan, envelope and post.
Respond to certain client requests using pre-defined email and letter templates.
Complete mail merges for weekly/monthly bulk mailings
Complete Ad-Hoc tasks, as and when required. For example, requesting and searching archived boxes for documentation.
Be a team player
Contribute to team targets and objectives.
Participate in team meetings.
Suggest solutions to any issues that arise.
Offer help to colleagues where appropriate.
Comply with risk control and regulatory requirements that are relevant to this role.
Maintain commercial awareness relevant to this role.
The level of Knowledge / Skills / Experience (Technical Competency) required for the role
Attention to Detail
Good typing skills - accuracy and speed
Excellent PC and Microsoft Office skills (word & outlook important)
Communication skills e.g. active listening and verbal reasoning
Time management skills e.g. ability to work to tight deadlines and ability to prioritise work in a very busy environment
