Groundworker

We are currently seeking experienced and talented Groundworkers to join our high performing team. Groundworkers play a crucial role in laying the foundation for structures, ensuring stability and safety and upholding the quality reputation of CCG. As an essential member of the team, this role will focus on, but is not limited to, excavating trenches for foundations to laying drainage systems, concreting floors, and building pavements.

REPORTING TO: Site Manager

LOCATION: Lynch's Lane, Clondalkin

CONTRACT TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

HOURS: Monday – Friday, 42.5 hours per week

Role Responsibilities

• Excavation and trenching work for foundations, pipes, and other structures.
• Preparation of sub-bases for concrete and paving.
• Installation of drainage systems, including pipes, manholes, and soakaways.
• Concreting of floors, paths, and driveways.
• Laying of paving, kerbs, and edging stones.
• Removal of vegetation and debris from construction sites.
• Interpretation of construction drawings and specifications.
• Safe handling of tools and equipment.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations.

The Candidate

Qualifications & Experience:

• Safe Pass certificate for working on construction sites.
• Manual Handling training certificate.
• Civil site experience.
• Relevant experience in groundworks 

Skills & Attributes

• Good understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools, including excavators, dumpers, and tampers.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures in construction
• Ability to work as part of a team.
