Job Description

Reporting to Car Parks Team Lead, the primary focus of the Car Parks Team Member is to ensure the safe, reliable, professional and positive passenger experience across the full airport journey and especially with Car Park products and services. The Car Park Team Member manages and ensures that appropriate and professional car parking facilities and services are delivered in line with quality and operating standards.


Team Members will embrace the opportunity to be ‘the face of Dublin Airport’ conveying a professional, helpful, friendly attitude and service to all Dublin Airport customers. Team Members will rotate between car parking duties as required across the campus Car Parks and associated facilities. Work tasks are allocated based on demand, and team members will be required to be agile and move from areas/tasks, as directed by the Car Parks Team Lead and/or Car Park Manager. As part of the wider commercial structure, it may be necessary for the team members to assist the wider commercial team to carry out any changes to the wider plan that arise from time to time.
Team Member roles are shift based and provide 24/7 coverage to Car Parks.

Please note, this position is 6-month Fixed Term Contract

  • Contract will be 35-40 hours; you will be guaranteed minimum 35 hours but must be available work up to 40 hours weekly across a 24/7 roster.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage, in a safe and efficient manner, all Short and Long-Term Car Parks with a focus on customer service and passenger experience, including safety & security issues, cleanliness, appearance and availability of and maximising of operational car spaces.
  • Strong focus on meeting customer and stakeholder needs with concern beyond own area, ensuring quality end-to-end passenger experience in Car Parks.
  • Management of car parks across the Airport, including safe and efficient traffic management, space counting, maximising space available and reporting of issues/incidents using the appropriate technology and processes.
  • Proactively identify and respond to customer needs and requests for service e.g. car parking availability, spaces etc, assist with any customer queries, way finding, and/or queue management.
  • Ensure that tasks are managed in line with SOP’s:
    • Trolley management - keeping car park spaces and areas free of passenger trolleys and replenishing trolley bays within car parks/bay areas.
    • Housekeeping – work with the cleaning team on all duties including but not limited to sanitisation of specific areas and any other hygiene related operational requirements as identified and assigned by the Team Lead.
    • Litter Picking - support Dublin Airport’s goal of being a litter free airport by litter picking your location of work to maintain the highest levels of satisfaction for our passengers and stakeholders.
    • Weather - Winter operations duties as required and as advised by the Team Lead.

Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner across campus.

  • Utilise all Dublin Airport information systems e.g., DublinAirport.com, flight information, airport services information and ground transport information to deliver an excellent and consistent product for Car parks and Dublin Airport.
  • Assist with audits as required.
  • Deliver high quality performance to achieve set KPIs, targets and specified quality standards and processes.
  • Utilise all available and new technology to enhance car park performance and reporting.
  • Assist with security procedures as required by the operation.
  • Escalate any security issues that arise to Car Park Team Lead/Manager/Airport Police as appropriate.
  • Actively engage with the Company’s performance management system and feedback discussions regarding individual performance.
  • Identify and deliver improvement initiatives and other potential process improvements.
  • Ensure emergency response procedures are implemented in the event of an airport emergency or unplanned event (e.g. adverse weather events; security alerts, fire safety marshalling etc).
  • Ensure business continuity plans are implemented as directed by Car Park Team Lead, Manager and/or APOC.
  • Ensure compliance with safety systems and methods of work by monitoring general compliance with fire, health and safety requirements, ensuring any issues are immediately reported and addressed.
  • Deal effectively with lost property, in accordance with policy.
  • Respond to passenger trips, slips, falls, accidents etc. complete accident and incident reports/health and safety reports as required.
  • Actively liaise with the Car Park Team Leads and APOC to ensure the smooth running of Dublin Airport Car Parks by monitoring general operations and ensuring any operational issues/faults are immediately dealt with and reported.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests from the Car Park Team Leads to support delivery and performance within own and other car parking and commercial departments as required.

Qualifications

Previous front-line experience at Dublin Airport, with a strong customer service focus and ability to deal on a professional basis with people at every level is an important requirement of the role.
