Production Manager
Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of
Production Manager within our Dairygold Mallow Nutritional Campus.
The Production Manager will work with the Site Manager to achieve Site targets and meet and exceed customer expectations. He/she will co-ordinate and control all the activities within the production function to meet operation targets, quality, environmental, maintenance, people, H&S & cost objectives on a day to day basis and in doing so will be a key person in driving site performance. Reporting to the Site Manager, the production manager will be a core part of the sites management team, liaising directly with both internal and external stakeholders on all associated aspects of the business.
Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:
Planning
- Scheduling, organising materials and resources to drive the plant performance
Safety
- Promote a safety culture within the site and set and monitor adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures;
People - Leads and manages a team of 4 shift managers, 2 Production Co-ordinators and 54 operators. Ensure that daily workgroups happen and actions are closed. Point of escalation and support for FL managers in relation to all people related issues.
Cost - Payroll, Yield and ingredients spend; Develop annual site budget and control spend.
Customer
- Customer complaints and implementing actions ex audits, PS's and AAR's.
Quality - RFT and audit readiness. Reporting issues to your manager, compliant to all SOPs. Obey all hygiene rules & take part in training. Food safety is your responsibility
Reliability
- Throughput, efficiency and OEE; Optimise plant reliability to facilitate delivery of required volumes and deploy CI problem solving tools & techniques to address any downtime issues
Environment
- COD and Hydraulic load reduction/compliance.
Projects
- Key resource in delivery operational projects.

Qualifications Required:
Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (Science, Supply Chain, Food, Engineering)/ 5+ years experience at management level.
