Hours of Work: 40 hours over 4 x 10 hour shifts Sunday to Friday between 5am and 11pm. (Rotating shifts).
Purpose: To work as part of a production shift team within all quality, technical and health and safety policies and procedures. Ensure all work process/SOP compliance in area of responsibility with ability to operate cross functionally.
Production Management & Planning
Ensures preparation for beginning of shift by being punctual and prepared for work with the correct equipment and materials.
Compliance of Raw tank make up following SOP
Delivery of all site CCP’s
Role specific batch closure.
Stock control.
Preparation of daily Pasteurisation sheets.
Dairy Operations
Prestart up checks completed.
Ensures product is manufactured to customer specification.
All documentation accurately completed.
GEMBA information inputted.
Maintains and supports technical standards, (GMP) within the production area.
Escalates any process deviations promptly.
Supports shift CIP activities.
Highlights engineering requirements or non-conformances to the Line Technician or Front-Line Manager promptly to minimise disruption to output, and records downtime and maintenance activity as required.
Manual handling of materials and ingredients.
Management of Health & Safety Standards
Adopts excellent GMP and Clean as You Go standard of cleanliness at all times.
Adopts all Health & Safety requirements across the factory.
Participates in Health & Safety walks and GMP audits across all zones as required.
Controls and operate hand-tools, power-tools, automated machines, mechanical handling equipment (electronic or manual) in line with SOPs. Reports any issues.
Has knowledge of safe usage of chemicals and adheres to safe working practices. Always follows chemical usage directions accurately and responsibly.
Continuous Improvement
Identifies and reports process improvement opportunities to support production efficiencies. Contributes to team discussions on opportunities to improve.
Complies with 5S standards and participates in continuous improvement activities as required.
People Management and Development
Participates in development discussions as required and ensures compliance with relevant policies and procedures
