About the Opportunity
Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Quality Officer in Mallow. Reporting to the Site Quality Lead. This role requires working to deliver in spec In- process results that will ensure Finished Product Right First Time (RFT) targets are met, food safety & hygiene standards are met & that performance is achieved in customer, regulatory & certification body audits. To ensure compliance with food safety standards, monitor compliance, report on metrics & improve the site systems. The Quality Officer is a key support role to the Site Quality Lead and is recognised as a key player within the site team to help manage food safety, authenticity, legality and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Safety ¿ Promote a Food and Health & Safety culture within the site & set & monitor adherence to all Quality & Environmental, Health & Safety standards & procedures;
Customer ¿ Customer complaints & implementing actions ex audits, PS¿s.
Quality ¿ RFT, Hygiene, Incident reporting & Change Control. (Ensuring corrective actions are planned & carried out)
Reporting issues to your manager, compliant to all SOP¿s. Obey all hygiene rules & take part in training. Food safety is your responsibility.
Systems - Develop & update as required policies, procedures & risk assessments to meet the requirements of FSSC.
Management - the site sampling, testing, investigating & treading.
Focus ¿ on product process, release & grading.
In conjunction with Site Quality Lead ¿ lead & facilitate customer & regulatory audits. Assist in the preparation & completion of site audits.
Monitoring & reporting on in-process results & leading indicators
Issuing of COA¿s and or EDI results in line with product grading.
Monitoring & verification of OPRP¿s & CCP¿s
Monitoring of compliance with GMP/GHP/GDP rules.
Fulfilling the customer requirements for the site.
Leading and improving traceability & record keeping systems.
What you will bring to Dairygold
Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science, Technology, Engineering).
1-2 years minimum¿ experience in a food manufacturing environment at FSSC 22000 standard is desirable.
Strong interpersonal & communication skills.
Team Player.
Performance driven with a proven ability to work on own initiative.
A positive, can-do, resilient, and flexible attitude.
Good organization and planning skills.
High level of accuracy.
Computer literate ¿ ideally OBIEE reporting, Oracle, Excel, LIMS.
Good decision-making skills and strong technical acumen with the capacity to effectively troubleshoot.
