The Representative I, Production Scientist is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient manufacture of immunoassay diagnostic reagents and conjugates, critical components within immunoassay reagent kits. This role supports consistent product quality and reliable manufacturing output while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

This position reports to the IA Formulation Supervisor and is part of the Immunoassay Operations team located in Lismeehan, O’Callaghan’s Mills, Co. Clare, and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Manufacture immunoassay diagnostic reagents and conjugates in accordance with quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform in-process testing to ensure product quality and process consistency
  • Support implementation of new processes and process improvements in collaboration with Technical Operations, Validation, and cross-functional teams
  • Participate in validation activities and ongoing process optimization initiatives
  • Create, manage, and complete work orders for the formulation area in line with operational requirements
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing and documentation records in compliance with GMP standards
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement aligned to the Danaher Business System (DBS)
  • Complete additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Level 8) in a scientific discipline
  • Experience: Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory equipment such as HPLC/UPLC, analytical balances, pH meters, pipettes, fume hoods, and spectrophotometers

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Diagnostics, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to GMP practices and process validation activities
