Role summary:
You will be part of the global IT and cybersecurity team. This is a Hybrid position requiring 3 days in the office. This role will maintain IT infrastructure and services, while assisting with high level technical support for Daon’s staff. Daon staff are located both locally and in remote locations – up to 250 users. This role also involves shared responsibility for IT systems support in other locations as required including Belgrade, Serbia and Canberra, Australia offices. Responsibilities to include supporting, managing, and enhancing our M365 platform and integrations. Daon maintains a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) which is ISO 27001:2022 certified. Onsite work required. The position reports to the IT & Security Director who is based in our Fairfax, VA, USA location.
Your contribution:
- Provide tier 1 and 2 technical support to local and remote users
- Administer, monitor, and maintain Linux-based systems, including debugging and solving system, service, and network-related issues
- Configure and Support new hires through the on boarding process (as required) including ordering hardware and software
- Provide onsite management of IT infrastructure to include network devices, storage, VMware hosts, wireless, (Mac, Windows 11, Windows Server, and Linux)
- Ensuring the availability, accessibility, and functionality of Entra Active Directory and M365 Services (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, Intune, One Drive, etc.)
- Provide ongoing operational support, maintenance, and engineering with regards to Zscaler product suite (ZIA, ZPA) and related technologies for a currently deployed Zscaler implementation.
- Experience building/managing and maintaining a mix of VMWare Virtual machine OS’s
- Patch and remediate application, infrastructure and operating system vulnerabilities
- Contribute on projects and new business opportunities by sharing knowledge and technical support
- Automate processes, audits and reporting through PowerShell
- Liaise and coordinate with internal IT Support functions in other locations
- Update & create support documentation and helpdesk knowledgebase
- Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned
You bring:
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with Linux systems and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting onsite/remote staff include Senior Management and technical staff
- Minimum of 5 year’s experience that demonstrates strong IT infrastructure and cloud skills (Linux, M365, networking,)
- Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with minimal oversight.
- PowerShell scripting to automate tasks, configure systems, and manage various aspects of the Windows environment preferred.
- Proven decision-making experience, ability to work without daily supervision and be autonomous
- Experience in implementation and supporting M365 (AAD, Exchange, Intune OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint)
Education:
- BS in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or similar is required;
- Prior IT support or internship experience is required
