Role Profile
This is an exciting role for a Learning Technologist — operating as a change agent at the intersection of pedagogy and technology — who will work with the established TEU team in supporting and developing DCU’s digital education practices and technologies, and empowering staff to develop their digital education competences to achieve university strategic objectives.
The primary objectives of the post holder will broadly revolve around providing support and enhancing digital education practices and technologies at the University, with a major focus in the area of immersive learning. Additionally, they will focus on enhancing the digital competences of staff members across various teaching, learning and assessment scenarios, including , genAI, blended learning, digitally-enabled active learning, educational multimedia and content authoring, and more. The ideal candidate will possess experience in providing effective Continuous Professional Development (CPD), and promoting good practice in the use of established and emerging digital technologies to enhance learning and teaching. The ideal candidate will be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of audiences to empower them to drive educational change.
The position will report to the Head of the Teaching Enhancement Unit (TEU), via the Senior Learning Technologist, and will collaborate closely with a wide array of colleagues and staff, fostering productive partnerships to accomplish objectives. The post holder will be primarily on the Glasnevin campus with the need to attend/work from other campuses or locations as needed.

Salary Scale:
Professional 5: €58,070 - €69,963
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
