Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position #003276 Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanotechnology and Scalable Manufacturing, 1 Year Fixed Term Contract (with possibility of 1 Year extension)
Role Profile
A postdoctoral position in the field of nanotechnology and scalable manufacturing is available in the School of Physical Sciences, Dublin City University, as part of the research group under Prof. Enda McGlynn. This position is externally-funded and involves working on a high-impact project developing advanced nanotechnology for rapid disease detection. The successful candidate will work with the PI and his team towards the development, optimisation and scale-up of nanostructure growth processes for a diagnostics device. This is an excellent opportunity for researchers looking to focus on commercialisation and industrial related research in the nanotechnology space. The role requires a proven ability to carry out research projects with a degree of independence, as well as strong team-working skills. The successful candidate will have multi-disciplinary alliances opportunities, along with opportunities to present at international conferences and international industry site visits. The work will be undertaken in School of Physical Sciences in DCU, but the project will involve significant collaboration with team members in the project lead institute in Galway and multiple industry stakeholders.

Salary Scale:
IUA Postdoctoral Researcher Salary Scale (Point 1 to Point 6) : €46,805 – €53,391
Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy
