Research Assistant - Neurophysiology and recombinant protein expression Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position #003309  Research Assistant - Neurophysiology and recombinant protein expression, 1 Year Fixed Term Contract Role Profile At the Molecular Neurobiology and Therapeutics Laboratory we investigate the role of membrane trafficking in healthy peripheral nervous system function, and as a target for therapeutic intervention in disease conditions. Through an Industry sponsored research collaboration, the opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated post-graduate researcher to study neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity in the murine parasympathetic nervous system, a model relevant to the development of targeted therapeutic interventions for neurosecretory disorders, such as hyperhidrosis, sialorrhea and uncontrolled lacrimation. Salary Scale: IUA Research Assistant - €33,791 – €43,872 Appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and in line with current Government pay policy.
