2. Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position
To excel in this role, you should bring:
- Strong, proven experience in credit risk model development, specifically with IRB or IFRS9 frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to risk modelling such as R or SAS, with the ability to handle complex data extraction and analysis.
- Demonstrated capability to translate complex data into actionable insights and communicate these effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects within financial services, showcasing leadership and stakeholder management skills.
3. Success in the Role: Performance Outcomes in your first 6-12 months
Within your first year, you will be expected to:
- Lead and deliver multiple large-scale credit risk model development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client expectations.
- Mentor and train junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Develop and refine market propositions that position Deloitte as a leader in prudential regulatory solutions.
- Actively contribute to Deloitte’s European and global prudential regulatory network by sharing insights and helping to develop innovative solutions.
4. What type of work will I be doing?
Your work will typically involve:
- Leading project teams in the design, development, and validation of credit risk models (approximately 50% of your time).
- Extracting, analysing, and interpreting complex datasets to inform model development and risk assessment (around 20%).
- Engaging with clients to communicate findings, provide training, and support implementation (about 15%).
- Collaborating with Deloitte’s wider regulatory network and contributing to thought leadership initiatives (approximately 15%).
