The QRS team has an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Manager within our Privacy & Confidentiality team. As a Data Privacy Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation’s compliance with data protection regulations and safeguarding personal data across our business operations.
Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position
Strong understanding of GDPR relevant data protection and ePrivacy legislations applicable in Ireland, the EU and the UK.
Ability to tailor your communication style to particular audiences and capable of liaising with diverse internal stakeholders and managing their expectations. In particular, presenting/communicating with C-Suite.
Effective communicator, possessing the ability to be clear, comprehensive and concise in all written communications.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to flex and adapt to changing demands, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving within a dynamic professional services environment.
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts, regulations, and emerging data privacy trends and to adapt to changing needs and regulatory frameworks.
Success in the Role: Performance Outcomes in your first 6-12 months
Ensure all internal and external compliance targets are met, for example responses to Data Subject Access Requests, internal/external audit requirements, queries etc
What type of work will I be doing?
Managing the end-to-end process for data subject rights requests, including access, deletion, and complaint handling.
Overseeing the daily management of data privacy queries, ensuring prompt tracking, investigation, and response to privacy queries, data incident notifications, and ad hoc requests from internal teams.
Supporting root cause analysis of data privacy incidents and collaborate on drafting practical, compliant solutions to mitigate risks.
Maintaining comprehensive and accurate records of data processing to enable effective oversight, internal reporting, and audit readiness.
Assisting in the creation, coordination, and dissemination of data privacy training and awareness materials tailored for Deloitte Ireland employees.
Providing operational support to the Data Privacy Senior Manager in planning, executing, and monitoring data privacy assessments and compliance initiatives.
Coordinating with risk management and other internal functions to support data privacy governance and compliance frameworks, including administrative and documentation tasks and reporting.
Who is the Hiring Manager?
The successful candidate will reporting directly to the Head of the Privacy & Confidentiality Team within QRS, an experienced privacy and confidentiality professional with experience in both internal and client-facing roles.
