At Deloitte Ireland, our Technology Consulting team is committed to delivering transformative digital programmes within the financial services sector.

As a Lead Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in steering major transformation initiatives for a leading banking client in Ireland.

This position offers a unique platform to demonstrate thought leadership, manage senior stakeholder relationships, and lead high-performing teams in an Agile environment, all while driving impactful business change in a regulated setting.

Key skills and prior experience

  • Extesnive experience working on complex projects and programmes as a Business Analyst within an Agile framework.
  • Proven accountability for analysis during define and design phases, ensuring quality and consistency of design artefacts.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management skills and demonstrated thought leadership.
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams of business analysts.
  • Proficiency in preparing Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  • Relevant third-level qualification complemented by recognised Business Analysis certifications such as ECBA, CCBA, or CBAP.
  • Expertise in eliciting information, facilitating workshops, and producing deliverables under tight deadlines using tools like Jira, MS Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent skills in analysing and documenting business processes, user and data functional requirements in a structured manner.
  • Effective communication skills across technical teams, business stakeholders, senior management, and external parties.

What type of work will I be doing?

  • Leading business analysis activities on major transformation programmes within a major financial services entity.
  • Collaborating with business stakeholders to build, refine, and prioritise product backlogs.
  • Facilitating workshops to develop detailed and actionable requirements.
  • Providing thought leadership across the define and design phases of projects.
  • Producing high-quality business deliverables including Process Maps, Business & Functional Requirements, Use Cases, User Stories, User Acceptance Criteria, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
  • Managing senior stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and support.
  • Working closely with business, development, project management, and quality assurance teams, both on-site and offshore, to deliver solutions.
  • Conducting impact analysis and preparing change specifications for change requests.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality and documentation standards throughout project delivery.
  • Mentoring and leading teams of business analysts while driving continuous improvement in business analysis methodologies.
