As a Senior Business Analyst, you will take a leading role in driving complex, high-impact initiatives for a major banking client in Ireland.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence project outcomes, lead and mentor junior analysts, and work within a dynamic Agile environment that values innovation, collaboration, and regulatory compliance.
Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position
- Extensive experience as a Business Analyst working on complex projects within an Agile framework.
- Proven expertise in the define and design phases of projects, with strong stakeholder management and engagement capabilities.
- Experience leading teams of junior business analysts.
- Solid proficiency in preparing Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Relevant third-level qualification complemented by recognised Business Analysis certifications such as ECBA, CCBA, or CBAP.
- Skilled in facilitating workshops, coordinating outputs, and delivering business artefacts using tools like Jira, MS Visio, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent ability to analyse and document business processes, user and data functional requirements clearly and concisely.
- Strong communication skills across technical teams, business stakeholders, management, and external parties.
What type of work will I be doing?
- Leading business analysis activities on transformation initiatives within a major financial services entity.
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to build, refine, and prioritise product backlogs.
- Facilitating workshops to develop detailed and actionable requirements.
- Producing key business deliverables including Process Maps, Business & Functional Requirements, Use Cases, User Stories, User Acceptance Criteria, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM).
- Engaging with stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment and clarity.
- Working closely with developers, testers, project managers, and quality assurance teams to support solution delivery.
- Conducting impact analysis and preparing change specifications for change requests.
- Ensuring quality and compliance through rigorous documentation and adherence to processes.
- Mentoring junior business analysts and contributing to continuous improvement of business analysis practices.
