Senior Project Manager

We are seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to join our team delivering transformative digital projects at a major FS entity based in Ireland.

These roles focus on the successful implementation of complex banking initiatives using Agile methodologies, driving end-to-end project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and digital innovation within a highly regulated environment.
 

Key skills and prior experience that align well with this position

  • To excel in this role, you will bring 8+ years’ experience in the management and delivery of complex projects, with extensive Agile delivery experience, specifically leading the implementation of large-scale programmes that foster project success and team collaboration.
  • You will have end-to-end experience across the full delivery lifecycle, from project initiation to closing (including Discovery through to Deployment), particularly for large enterprise clients in the banking sector.
  • A deep understanding of Banking products and services, coupled with in-depth familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the banking sector, is crucial.
  • Proven experience in integrating new technologies and systems within a banking environment, alongside a passion for digital technology and product development, will be essential.
  • You will demonstrate strong financial management skills, the ability to identify and make decisions that have a significant project impact, and the capability to identify, drive, and lead problem solving and issue management for project deliverables.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to positively engage and develop relationships with multiple stakeholders are essential.
  • A recognised project management qualification is required (preference for PMI; however, PRINCE2 or other relevant certifications are acceptable provided there is a solid understanding of the PMI Framework).
  • Certification in Agile methodologies or other relevant project management certifications is highly desirable.


What type of work will I be doing?

Your work will primarily involve leading and overseeing transformation projects at a leading financial services entity, ensuring the successful delivery of digital projects and programmes, typically utilising Agile methodologies. This will include:

  • Leading Project Delivery & Client Engagement: Guiding transformative digital projects, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring exceptional client service.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Defining project objectives, creating action plans, monitoring progress, and devising solutions to complex problems.
  • Agile Leadership & Coaching: Establishing and coaching Agile teams, scaling Agile delivery, and embedding best practices.

Where is this role based?

This role is based in Dublin, with a flexible working model that includes a blend of office, client site 3 days per week, and hybrid working arrangements.
