Duty Manager

Dromoland Castle Resort, one of Ireland’s prestigious five-star hotels, is currently recruiting an experienced Duty Manager to join our team. As Duty Manager, you will lead and manage the team to ensure the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and effectively at all times, maintaining the highest standards of service excellence while optimising revenue opportunities. This is a challenging and dynamic role that involves supporting various departments throughout the hotel. This position is ideal for a customer-focused individual with a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and support a team. The role encompasses all, aspects of the food and beverage function and will especially suit someone who thrives in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious hotel and make a real impact across multiple departments.

Role Overview:

• Working schedule: 5 days out of 7 (Monday to Sunday), with flexibility required based on business levels.
• Carrying out duty management shifts.
• Provide a consistent high quality and delivery of standards of the hotel with a personalised focussed on our guests.
• Actively involved in all departments in a ‘hands on’ capacity.
• Operational training on a regular basis is carried out.
• Maintaining a visible presence in the Front of House areas.
• To ensure that good communication exists with Senior Management and each department and that you regularly liaise with each department throughout the day to ensure that operations run smoothly.

The ideal candidate:

• Have relevant 3rd level qualification in Hotel Management or equivalent.
• Previous experience working in 4 or 5* star properties in a management capacity.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate.
• Excellent attention to detail.
