We are seeking a second visionary Specialist in Veterinary Anaesthesia & Analgesia to join our expanding team. This is a unique invitation to help shape a department from its infancy, working alongside a collaborative team of Specialists in Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Soft Tissue Surgery, Oncology & Orthopaedics.

You will join an existing ECVAA Diplomate and a team of two dedicated anaesthesia nurses. This role is designed for a clinician who thrives on complexity and leadership. You will:

  • Lead the anaesthetic management of critically ill patients.
  • Mentor and supervise the wider clinical team to elevate standards of perioperative care.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art technology, including TIVA/TCI protocols and advanced locoregional techniques (ultrasound-guided/nerve stimulation).

We believe in a sustainable work-life balance that respects the intensity of specialist practice:

  • Four-day working week.
  • On-call: One weekday per week and a 1-in-4 weekend rotation (FridaySunday).
  • Competitive Salary: Commensurate with experience and seniority.
  • Ownership Mentality: Participation in our profit-related annual bonus scheme.
  • Professional Investment: Generous CPD allowance, payment of RCVS/European/American registration fees, and a robust pension scheme.

The successful candidate must be a Diplomate (ECVAA, ACVAA, or RCVS Specialist), hold RCVS registration (or a registrable degree).
