The Role
The Logistics Supervisor manages and coordinates daily logistics and supply chain operations to ensure efficient, timely, and compliant movement, storage, and distribution of goods. This role includes leading logistics staff, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks such as Known Consignor, Trade Compliance, Inward Processing, and Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the logistics team, including warehouse staff, drivers, and coordinators.
- Plan, organize, and monitor inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery schedules.
- Manage inventory control, warehouse organization, and stock accuracy.
- Ensure safe operation of Logisitics team and manage EHS reports from investigation, RCAI, Action assignment and close out.
- Ensure compliance with Known Consignor security requirements and related procedures.
- Support and oversee compliance with trade regulations, including import/export controls and customs documentation.
- Assist in the management and documentation for Inward Processing regimes to optimize customs duty.
- Support the company’s Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certification requirements including risk management, security measures, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and enforce logistics, security, and safety policies in line with relevant regulations.
- Train and empower logistics staff on operational procedures, security protocols, and trade compliance requirements.
- Develop and maintain Shipping Metrics to measure performance both internally and for Freight Forwarders.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
- Proven experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain roles with knowledge of Known Consignor, Trade Compliance, Inward Processing, and AEO standards.
- Proficient in SAP/ERP and Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Be a strong team member with the ability to identify and drive efficiency improvements
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
