We are currently seeking highly-motivated Part-time and Relief Adult Home Support Workers to join our team in Enable Ireland Adult Services, Co Clare

Contract Type: Part-time and relief contracts available

Contract Hours: Evening, weekend and overnight shifts available

Salary Scale: The current salary scale for this post is €35,771 to €43,288 pro rata per annum.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 10.7% of hours worked

Overview of the Post:

The purpose of the role is to provide support services to adults with physical disabilities in a community and home setting. This post will involve working in our community houses in the Ennis area and also supporting individuals in their family home.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the empowerment of people with disabilities working as part of a team through a person-centered approach and will work with service owners in accessing social and recreational activities in the community and assisting with all aspects of daily living.

The successful candidate will have:

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum qualification QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Social Care/Disability/Care skills or relevant heath related area. (Individuals with 2 modules completed will be eligible to apply once commitment given to complete the remainder of the major award)
  • 1 years’ experience working with adults with disabilities.
  • Full clean driver’s license and willingness to drive service transport.
  • Be Eligible to work in the state
  • Basic IT skills.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with adults in HIQA designated centre.
  • Experience of working in community and in-home setting.
  • Have experience supporting a service owner with behaviours that challenge
