The EMP Programme Management Team combines work programme information from across EMPnbusiness areas to provide one view of the EMP work programme for the Networks Engineering and Generation Engineering. The team monitors and reports on the commercial performance and delivery status of the work programme and integrates this information with strategic resource planning, capability management and cost management. This team also ensures that the work programme is aligned to the strategic needs of EMPs partners.

This Senior Professional – Commercial Team Leader ensures that all commercial elements of the
EMP Work Programme are planned, integrated and communicated. This requires significant stakeholder management both within EMP and with our partners and supports resource planning, capacity management and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

Lead efficient implementation of cost reporting systems and analysis in Networks Capex, Opex and Generation Projects including the development of commercial key performance indicators (KPI’s) to enable decision-making to support the delivery of projects.
• Provide guidance to team members and colleagues in all aspects of commercial
management of EMP delivered Networks and Generation Projects and be accountable for the overall performance of the team and manage any matters that result from team performance / relationship issues.
• Liaise with Networks Liaison Manager to report EMP Networks Recharges and undertake
cost management reviews.
• Lead the development and delivery of commercial management training programmes for
new Programme Management Team resources, as well as Networks Engineering lead engineers and team leaders.
• Drive continuous improvement of the commercial management processes through ongoing
reviews of project performance and actual spends to further enhance the accuracy of the future project cost estimates.
• Have ability to prioritise workload within the team and balance client expectations with
available resources and project deadlines.
• Support the IBP timeline, stakeholder engagement and ensure outputs support strategic
workforce planning and capability alignment with Finance and HR.

Experience and Qualifications

Essential

• 5+ years PQE

• High level of experience in commercial management and project administration of Networks
and/or Generation project activities
• Experience in developing and implementing business processes and procedures.

• A strong commercial capability with experience in business and financial data analysis and
report preparation.
• A strong work ethic with a clear focus on delivery to ESB’s safety, time, quality and cost
objectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and change management skills

• A relevant 3rd Level qualification is essential


Location

This position will be based in The Sidings Building, Grand Canal Dock

The successful candidate will report to the EMP Programme Manager, EMP Programme
Management Team, Engineering & Major Projects

Salary

€59,000 - €70,000 per annum
