At NGINX, we’re looking for an Entry Data Engineer to join our Product Data Group in Cork — a team that turns raw product signals into insights used by engineers and customers around the world.
This is a graduate‑friendly role designed to help you learn, grow, and make an impact from day one.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Data Engineer in the Product Data Group, you’ll help build and maintain the data foundations behind our products, including telemetry, logs, alerts, and usage data.
You will:
- Build and support scalable data pipelines that turn raw product data into usable insights
- Contribute to data cleaning, transformation, and modeling following clear design standards
- Learn and apply data quality best practices, including testing, monitoring, and alerting
- Help implement data management processes like backfills and retries
- Write clear documentation so others can build on your work
- Collaborate with engineers across teams to understand how product data flows end‑to‑end
You won’t be expected to know everything — you’ll be supported by experienced engineers and given space to learn.
What We’re Looking For

Core skills (through studies, internships, or early career experience):
- 0–2 years of experience or strong academic background in data engineering, analytics, or software engineering
- Understanding of data modeling and schema design concepts
- Working knowledge of SQL and Python
- Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating and asking questions
Bonus (Nice to Have, Not Required)
- Experience working on software projects using Git, basic SDLC, or testing frameworks
- Exposure to tools like dbt or Databricks
- Experience with data visualization or analytics tools (e.g. Tableau)
