We are currently seeking a full‑time temporary Administrative Assistant/PA to join our team in Metro Business Park, Cork. This role is a maternity‑cover position, with the possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and experienced. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role providing essential support to our Operations & HR Manager, with responsibilities spanning a wide range of administrative and HR‑related tasks.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive, and able to work independently with confidence. Strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are key to success in this role. Experience or understanding of HR processes, employment legislation, and best practice is highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide proactive and high‑quality administrative support to the Operations & HR Manager.
- Manage general HR administration, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date employee records, policies, procedures, and performance documentation.
- Liaise with the payroll department to ensure timely and accurate processing of starters, leavers, internal movements, and weekly payroll amendments.
- Assist in providing guidance and support on employee relations queries.
- Support the hiring, interviewing, and onboarding processes, ensuring best practice is consistently applied.
- Coordinate pensions and benefits administration.
- Oversee all aspects of employee onboarding, including HR induction training.
- Monitor annual leave, absence, and attendance through the online HR system.
- Assist in coordinating the performance appraisal process.
- Provide general administrative support and contribute to ad hoc projects within the operations team.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience in a similar administrative or PA role.
- HR administration experience is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A proactive team player with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
