Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to provide maternity leave cover and support the delivery of our HSE strategy across the business.
This role will play a key part in maintaining high standards of safety performance, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and driving a positive safety culture across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the company’s EHS management systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Provide expert guidance and support to project teams across all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management
- Monitor compliance with Irish and UK EHS legislation and company standards
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring actions are effectively closed out
- Drive incident investigations, ensuring root cause analysis and effective close-out of actions
- Support onboarding processes, including induction compliance and training verification
- Engage with site management, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a strong safety culture
- Prepare and present EHS performance reports to senior management
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and lead key safety campaigns
The Candidate
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Health & Safety / Environmental Management
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in an EHS role within construction or a related industry
- Strong knowledge of EHS legislation and best practices
- Professional membership (e.g. IOSH, IEMA, IIRSM) is desirable
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proven experience managing audits, inspections, and compliance systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/ teams
