Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety.
In this role, you will lead a high-impact team of specialists. You will be the architect of the strategic aim and the driver of operational excellence, tasked with identifying and neutralizing sophisticated threats to election integrity. You will be exposed to graphic, controversial, and upsetting content. You will require on-call work on weekends and on holidays on a rotational basis.
Responsibilities
- Build and scale a team of experts by fostering psychological safety and continuous learning. Maintain team resilience and high performance.
- Architect the global defense road map. Oversee cutting-edge analytical frameworks and fraud-detection methodologies to proactively identify and neutralize policy violations.
- Transform data into defensive action. Direct large-scale initiatives to uncover systemic vulnerabilities, translating technical insights into scalable product protections.
- Modernize content safety by leading automation. Focus expertise on investigations.
- Act as a strategic advisor to Senior Leadership and global partners. Synthesize risk metrics into a clear "state of the union" briefing to drive global alignment and informed decision-making.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in data analytics, Trust & Safety, policy, cybersecurity, business strategy, or related fields.
- 1 year of experience in people management, leading a team.
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or data analytics.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical issues clearly to stakeholders at different levels and to influence decision-making across roles.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
