About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to data center construction and operations teams to provide feedback and assist in defining control system design requirements for multiple and simultaneous data center projects.
  • Support and enable construction teams to efficiently and consistently manage and execute Building Management Systems (BMS)/Power Monitoring Systems (PMS) scopes of work across the EMEA portfolio of active projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering core teams to develop and implement the data center designs at site in EMEA for new DC projects build outs, infrastructure upgrades, and renovations.
  • Participate in new technology insertions through collaboration with the core engineering team to provide site specific requirements as inputs.
  • Work alongside cross functional teams to build out and implement BMS/PMS construction standards and best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in technical program management.
  • Experience in design, operation, and commissioning of control systems as they interface with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience in mission critical facilities electrical and mechanical infrastructure systems.
  • Experience in key control systems and their programming and operation.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
