This new and dynamic role will support the evolving Governance, Research and Strategy team and the other four core teams (National Care Experience Programme, Health Information Quality and Assurance, Health Information Standards and National Standards for Health and Social Care Services) within the HIS Directorate. The Project Lead – Governance & Strategy will lead, develop and co-ordinate consistent processes for corporate and governance reporting across the HIS Directorate. They will support strategy development for the Directorate. They will lead and develop strategies to enhance communication and connection across the HIS Directorate and wider organisation including co-ordinating meetings and HIQA news. HIQA is recruiting a Nursing Home Review Manager for its Regulation Directorate.
The Patient Safety (Notifiable Incidents and Open Disclosure) Act 2023 (The Act) has conferred new functions to the Chief Inspector to undertake reviews of specified incidents within Nursing Homes. The Nursing Home Review Team will be responsible for the receipt and processing of information through notifications, complaints and through other functions of the Chief Inspector and assessment of such information for specified information.
The Nursing Home Review Manager will lead and be responsible in developing and implementing the new functions under the Patient Safety Act. The Manager will be responsible for the development, implementation and delivery of all aspects of the Nursing Home Inquiry Function.
The Manager will work closely with the Regulatory Practice Development Team, the Information Handling Centre Team and other key internal stakeholders during the development and implementation of the regulatory framework.

HIQA is recruiting a Head of Service Users Experience and Concerns for its Regulation Directorate.
The Head of Service Users Experience and Concerns will be responsible for leading a team of Regional Managers to oversee the receipt and management of unsolicited information including queries management, management of certain notifications from providers, the Protected Disclosures function and the new function of the investigation of specific instances in nursing homes under the Patient Safety Act. The post holder will also support Healthcare Regulation Directorate in relation unsolicited receipt of information, queries and Protected Disclosures received for that directorate. This unit is constantly engaging with services users, service providers and the general public and is pivotal in ensuring that HIQA function and purpose is communicated in an open, transparent and timely manner.

HIQA is recruiting a Payroll and Pension Specialist for its Corporate Operations Directorate.
This position of Payroll and Pension Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager and will share responsibility for ensuring timely and accurate monthly payroll to HIQA’s employees, pensioners and board members. The role will support prompt responses to employee queries regarding payroll and pension entitlements and retirement planning, including Pension Ombudsman decisions. The role will share the active engagement with and management of the two external services providers (monthly payroll via managed payroll service and expert public sector pension services) on a routine and prompt basis. This role will also support in the verification process associated with the managed services provider changing, after normal procurement processes conclude. The roles will share in supporting all audits and any queries resulting from these important processes. It will also foster and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as HIQA colleagues, HIQA HR, payroll bureau, Irish Revenue and pension services advisors.
