About this role:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced CSA Site Engineer to join our CSA Construction team. In this role, you will support the successful delivery of CSA project works by coordinating communication, maintaining documentation and quality standards, and assisting project teams, subcontractors, and clients throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Attend all project handovers, kick-off meetings, weekly progress meetings, and design reviews.
  • Maintain strong communication with the project team, subcontractors, and the client.
  • Support CSA subcontractors by resolving site issues promptly.
  • Contribute effectively during project meetings with updates on design, quality, schedule, and commercial matters.
  • Identify and propose value engineering solutions where applicable.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain SharePoint/ACC folder structures according to company standards.
  • Keep a detailed personal site diary and support the Site Manager with weekly digital diary submissions via MyHub.
  • Upload all site photos using the Solocator app to the project’s Photos folder and Teams platform.
  • Prepare weekly reports on RFIs, KPIs, technical submittals, and quality documentation.
  • Record project lessons learned in weekly meetings and bi‑monthly presentations.
  • Assist with weekly progress reporting (QAP 06 QWI 06-F-08) and upload to SharePoint/ACC.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct regular site quality audits and ensure compliance with H&MV quality procedures.
  • Monitor subcontractor completion of ITPs, checksheets, benchmarks, and as‑builts.
  • Raise NCRs when required and manage them through to close-out.
  • Ensure all certifications and warranties are collected for completed works.

Safety

  • Comply with all relevant legislative, regulatory, and site safety requirements.
  • Carry out regular safety audits and ensure subcontractor compliance.
  • Lead by example in promoting H&MV’s safety culture.

Design Management

  • Ensure the latest approved drawings are available before work begins.
  • Manage subcontractor material approvals, technical submissions, and RFIs in coordination with CSA designers.
  • Support closure of design and construction comment logs.

Commercial Awareness

  • Understand CSA contractor budgets, BOQs, and prelims.
  • Monitor subcontractor commercial performance and ensure compliance with H&MV policies.
  • Record and communicate variations, tracking labour, plant, and materials.
  • Assist with procurement, supply chain management, and tendering activities.
  • Promote value engineering opportunities to reduce cost or accelerate delivery.

Planning & Programme Support

  • Review project schedules and ensure milestones, deadlines, and long‑lead items are planned effectively.
  • Support resource planning across manpower, equipment, and materials.

Client Interface

  • Attend client and third‑party meetings to report on safety, progress, and quality.
  • Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Mentor CSA graduates/apprentices as required.

KPI Areas

  • Safety: Full compliance with regulatory and company HSE policies.
  • Quality: High‑standard workmanship, accurate documentation, and timely audits.
  • Design: Up‑to‑date drawings, timely approvals, and effective RFI management.
  • Commercial: Accurate reporting, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Planning: Adherence to schedule and resource readiness.
  • Client: Professional communication and consistent progress updates.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree or qualification in Civil, Structural, Architecture, or related engineering discipline.
  • 2–4+ years’ experience in CSA construction, site engineering, or similar role (substations/data centres preferred).
  • Experience working with subcontractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, ITPs, checksheets, NCRs, and construction documentation.
  • Strong understanding of CSA construction processes, sequencing, and site coordination.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint/ACC or similar document control systems.
  • Competent in RFI management, material approvals, and design coordination workflows.
  • Strong reporting, site diary management, and photographic documentation skills (Solocator app).
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to enforce site compliance.
  • Experience participating in or conducting safety audits.
  • Understanding of relevant local regulations and HSE standards.
  • Understanding of BOQs, budgets, prelims, and commercial compliance.
  • Ability to support procurement, tendering, and cost‑tracking activities.
  • Familiarity with project scheduling, milestones, long‑lead materials, and resource planning.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced site environment.
  • Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to proactively support subcontractors and project teams.
  • Willingness to mentor CSA graduates/apprentices.
  • Flexibility to travel to site as required.
  • Full EU work authorisation and driving licence (if applicable).
