About the Role: 

We are seeking a Power System Studies Engineer to support HV/MV projects across data centres, renewable energy, BESS and utility infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform power system studies using ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and/or PSCAD.
  • Carry out load flow, short-circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, harmonics, reactive power/P-Q & U-Q compliance, and dynamic studies.
  • Develop and validate HV/MV network models. Perform Grid Code compliance assessments for demand and generation facilities.
  • Develop and review protection settings and coordination for HV/MV systems. Assess reactive compensation requirements including capacitor banks, reactors and STATCOMs.
  • Prepare technical reports, calculations and study recommendations. Support technical queries, RFIs, TSO/DSO submissions and commissioning activities.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Systems Engineering. Experience in HV/MV power system studies.
  • Proficiency in ETAP and/or DIgSILENT PowerFactory; PSCAD experience is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of power system protection, Grid Codes, IEC/IEEE standards and power quality.
  • Experience with data centers, BESS, renewable generation or transmission/distribution projects is desirable.
  • Strong technical analysis, report writing and communication skills.
