About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity for a person to join an Irish headquartered business and to be part of a growing company that possesses international expertise. As the Finance Operations Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work with a range of departments focusing on the Cost Of Goods Sold in the Profit & Loss Account to identify and implement cost efficiencies across all Regions in H&MV Engineering.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed financial analyses and commentary driving meaningful insight for the Operations Department.
  • Support the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial models.
  • Analyse monthly performance trends, for the Operations Department, which will include Cost Of Sales, Direct Payroll Costs, Headcount Ratios and KPIs, working with the department to eliminate variances against budget / forecast.
  • Prepare clear and insightful management reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
  • Partner with Operations Department to provide financial guidance and support strategic initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support business cases, investments, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Maintain and improve financial planning tools, models, and reporting templates.
  • Support other internal projects and ongoing commercial initiatives.
  • Ad hoc projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in FP&A or in Construction Industry Operations (experience may vary depending on level).
  • Strong financial modelling with Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite) and/or Power BI tools preferred.
  • Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent Financial analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive and solution-oriented approach towards business issues.
  • Self-motivation – capable of working on own initiative as well as part of a team.
